A secret paradise in the edge of Europe

Halkidiki is a destination full of contrasts — a true touristic oxymoron. Its origins are described in different ways: according to mythology, Halkidiki was formed after a battle between giants and Olympian gods, while geologists attribute its creation to the collision of the Vardar-Axios Zone and the Serbo-Macedonian Massif. You can choose the story that inspires you most.

Today, Halkidiki is one of the most cosmopolitan and lively tourist destinations in Northern Greece, famous for its three distinctive peninsulas: Kassandra, Sithonia, and Athos (Mount Athos). Its dramatic landscape combines mountains that descend into sandy coves, surrounded by pine forests and fragrant Mediterranean vegetation.
